Marketing Your Online Business

December 16th, 2008

“Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” Mario Andretti - Race Car Driver

You’ve done all the hard work. Researched on all the data available and you are finally ready to launch your very own online business.

Fantastic!

You are ready to make money online. The moolah is going to come pouring in. Or is it?

Hello???? Wake up to the big bad world of internet marketing. There are a zillion websites out there in cyber space.

Sad to say you, are just another dotcom or dot whatever out there fighting your way for survival. A small fish in a big big hungry ocean. An ocean which could eat you up even before you began to swim.

If you are serious about staying alive and surviving online, you have to think of all the ways possible to market your website online.
You just cannot afford to stick to just one method of marketing.

No way! In today’s battle struck, survival of the fittest, it’s a jungle out there life on the world wide web, if you want to make money online, you just have to use every possible trick in the internet marketing book (and out of it!), if you really want your online business to grow.

Merely laying your hands on a website and putting it on the internet in the hope that it will rake in a fortune for you is just not going to work for you. So if you think it is, wake up from your dream

There are many ways of marketing your online business nowadays. One is a free method, called organic marketing and the other is direct marketing, a method which could prove (if it already hasn’t!) too costly to you.

Google AdSense or AdWords are a couple of the major Direct Marketing techniques used to promote websites. But you need to have a lot of money to do that. And if anyone tells you else wise, they are just trying to con you.

Very important to note here is that, if you do not know how to use Google AdSense or AdWords, you will definitely end up spending more than your website will bring in. That’s the way mesothelioma settlement of these programs work.

So where does that leave you with your marketing strategy for your website? How are you going to get people to see your online business?

The secret lies in you using organic methods - in other words free marketing or BUM marketing as it is called in the arena of internet marketing.

BUM marketing is the method most people working from home and making money on the internet use to make money online by marketing their website.

One of the most prominent ways to get visitors to your site is the one I am using write now. It is called Article Writing. A few other ways are … Social networking using websites like MySpace, Facebook, Squidoo. Blogging. Forums. Etc.

While these are the main ways of getting people to see your website, there are many many more ways too.

What is the purpose for doing all this you say? Your aim should be to get the name of your website all over the internet.

But the buck does not stop there!

You can read more in Part 2 of my series.

If you want to me to help you set up and run your very own successful website business with help every single step of the way… just visit the my website (see link given below) and take a look.

Are You a Work at Home Parent? Would You Like to Be?

December 14th, 2008

When I think about it now, I really wish one of my parents or both of my parents worked from home, I think it would have been a lot nicer! Unfortunately for me that was almost impossible considering my father was a big shot Chiropractor and my mom was his assistant. I ended up spending most of my time when I was little either in daycare, with my grandma, or in the back office of my dads business coloring. Personally I would have rather spent every day in that back office with my mom and dad. I loved being with my grandma, and my parents were awesome, but I just wish I could have somehow spent more time with them!

Fortunately for kids now, their parents have a very good chance of working at home. Now you can either do this by working with an existing company and asking them if you can work at home, or you can open your own business, service, franchise right from home on your own time, with your own anti depressants and your own rules and best of all as your own boss. Sounds good right? Well don’t forget; since you will be your own boss you will need to have some major responsibility.

In my time at working at home I have come to an understanding. The more I work, and more available I am to my customers and prospects, the more money I will make, the more I can save, and the quicker I can establish some sort of a “nest egg” for my future.

Now take a quick look at a few of these little details:

Time -
If you work at home and need to go on business errands, you can take them with you. Obviously if it’s a business meeting, you may not want to unless you are with a company that you work for and they have some sort of a daycare. It would only be for an hour or two and then you can take your kid(s) back home with you. On the other hand, if you work for yourself you will most likely be dealing with a lot of people over the phone, or through email.

Obviously this doesn’t take any extra steps besides your kids understanding (if they are at that age) that mommy or daddy needs to make an important call. My cousin works from home and has two kids, both kids know that when she says she needs to make an important call that this means they have to be quiet.

Flexibility -
If you have kids, obviously you will need to be flexible with your time. Since most kids go to school during certain hours, it’s a good idea to plan your day ahead of time. Take kids to school at 9am, work until 4pm, pick kids up, then spend time with the kids, then after they go to bed, you can work some more if need be. However, if your child gets sick or if it’s the summer time and they just do something like go to camp for a few hours, you need to be flexible enough to accept this, work around it, and move on. Obviously your children should be the most important thing!

Accommodations -
Now if your kids are at that age where they understand things well, it’s a good idea to make a sort of deal with them. Call it a bribe if you will. Tell them that you are working from home now, so that you can spend more time with them, but also tell them that you need to also work as well. So make a deal with them, tell them if they let you work for, however, long that you guys will do an activity or go somewhere afterwards, some place fun. Most kids won’t understand that you are home but that you also have to work while at home, so you need to explain this to them as gingerly as possible.

Also, if you are going to work at home with your kiddies, don’t ignore them. That is so not cool! Unless your lucky enough to have a mom that can come over and help or a nanny of some sort, you’re still going to have to make time for your kids! Remember, you started this because you wanted to spend time with them! They are a perk! A plus! And completely mandatory!

The main objective of being a work at home parent is to be able to incorporate work with family time and parenting responsibilities without the loss of income or opportunity. This is a great way to make the money you want, but still be able to spend time with your kids, and in the long run even if they don’t completely understand it right now, they will be more than happy in the end. And really, isn’t that the most important thing?

Video Marketing Tips - 3 Important Attributes of Wildly Profitable Video Marketing

December 13th, 2008

Using Video marketing to promote your online business is getting easier by the day. The major advantage is that the visuals require lesser reading and leaves a more lasting impact on the viewer. You can now comfortably embed the videos into your e-mail, newsletters or even place them on your website. Here are three major attributes to make a great success out of your video marketing campaign:

1. Consistency and Patience

Consistency and patience are among the major attributes for a successful video marketing exercise. Your objective is to provide videos which people like and will come back repeatedly for the newer ones. You should also get your videos uploaded to the maximum number of sites. Make sure however, that the site does not demand exclusivity.

2. Make them unique

The best way to succeed in any marketing exercise is to study competition from close quarters. Look at the way your top competitor has gone about their video marketing program. Understand the techniques they have employed. Your creative talent, the titles, the content and the general appeal when combined harmoniously will make the best video.

3. Use effective tags

Using appropriate and effective tags is important to make your videos work towards success in your video marketing effort. Do a thorough research to understand hot keywords connected with your business and tag your creations with those keywords. A better approach would be to do the keyword research first and then create the video around the best of the keywords.

Get started using videos for your marketing campaigns now!

Volleyball Coaching

December 12th, 2008

I worked as a volleyball coach for 10 years, surely after I was a player for 20 years, so I think I could tell you a lot about volleyball! As a coach, I have hard times in making plans, training players, controlling my team, but there is nothing more fabulous than winning a game. Really I feel a huge mix of feelings, which could be described as ‘indescribable’, that’s why I forgot all about hard car donation charity before the game.

I’ll tell you here some of the coaching tips and I think you will make great use of them. There are basic skills that you should train your team on.

They are: Setting, Hitting, Serving And Reception, Blocking, Defensive, Digging, Passing, an general skills. Too much? No they’re not, and I’ll explain to you. By all means, you can’t be a volleyball coach, without having your own experience as a professional player, so you actually have a solid background of the mentioned skills. What you need is just to broaden your knowledge and having the ability to train and teach others. In addition, there are some soft skills you should have, which I really consider as the key elements of success. Those skills are actually more related to your personality, rather than your knowledge and experience. Let me illustrate with examples from the reality. When I was a player, most of times I didn’t find practice time exciting and funny, thus, when I became a coach, I took the decision to keep my team attracted and involved.

First tip is to listen carefully to your team members, giving them the feeling of friendship, i.e. Make them the feel that you’re their brother or friend. Once they got the idea, it would much easier to lead them. Try also to discover issues that disturb them and make the practice time unpleasant. It would be great if you arrange a brainstorming meeting to solve their problems. I tried this concept when I found that players dislike the warm-up. Then I gathered them for a friendly meeting and after the brainstorming, we made a plan for updating the warming-up practice. As a result, all the team players now consider it the best.

The next effective tip is to make every player in the team list 3-5 things he/she wish to improve in his/her playing. Then you should follow up each player’s progress and improvement and give the right evaluation.

You would be surprised with the amazing results as you will find each player is getting better, more than you could expect.

Another thing that could make a positive different in coaching volleyball is reading books. This could enlarge your knowledge, give you lots of new ideas and points of views, also you could surf the internet for more knowledge and sharing others their experiences.

One way you could make the best use of expert volleyball coaches, is visiting blogs that are dedicated for volleyball. You could find there tons of tips and advices, where you could pick up what you need.

I suggest you to visit volleyball-coaching.infohttp://volleyball-coaching.info it’s really interesting!

Video Conferencing Tools

December 11th, 2008

What is the difference between video conferencing equipment and video conferencing tools? When we talk about equipment, we are referring to the hardware and software that is used to make this happen. But when we talk about tools, these are things that you can add to enrich the video conferencing experience.

How do you enrich this experience? By using software programs that can do more than just let you see and hear the other person.

A good example is when you are talking to someone and then another person comes along. You don’t want to end one conversation just to begin with another so the best thing for you to do is to chat with the other party by sending text messages.

Another tool is the ability of the program to have an interactive whiteboard so both sides can see the same document and make changes instantaneously. This is useful when you are finalizing the paperwork of any project that will be submitted.

Sometimes, you want to express to people how you feel and instead of seeing this in your face, you can do this by using emotional icons or emoticons.

It will also be cool to have a video conferencing tool that allows you to surf the web. This will be useful when you need to put in additional information or have suddenly found new ones that should also be mentioned.

Majority of the video conferencing tools can be found online and downloaded into your computer. Some offer a 30 day trial and charge around $20 to $30 monthly.

Some examples of these include Acrobat Connect Pro formerly known as Breeze, Horizon Live Classroom, WebEx, Microsoft Live Meeting and Marratech. You can try your luck to see if there are freeware tools around as well so you can use these tools for free. Some examples of these include Web diagnostics, AB Cam, Motion Detection and Instant Translator.

Since there are quite many and it is really hard to pick one, narrow down your choices by asking friends and family who have used this before or read reviews that have been posted. Eventually, you will be able to find the right software that has the video conferencing tools you are looking for so can get the most out of this system.

When downloading any of these tools, make sure that your PC meets the minimum requirements that are needed to make it work. Otherwise, you are wasting your time getting something you can’t use in the first place.

Many people perceive video conferencing as a virtual trip that can take you to different parts of the globe. This is perhaps because you connect with people not only in the US but also in other countries making distance no longer an obstacle.

The video conferencing tools mentioned can do a lot for those that use this medium to finish a project, conduct in house training or make a business decision. Of course these tools will not function on their own since you have to learn how to use them. The best part about any of these is that they all user-friendly so you don’t have to attend a class to learn how to use the system. You just have to be patient and car insure you will be able to use this to its full potential.

Review Work at Home Jobs - A Vacation Service

December 10th, 2008

Times are tough right now. There are so many people having to give up their homes because they can’t pay their mortgage, it can be a very devastating thing for them. Sometimes getting through the tough times of a person life, new ideas can flourish. If you are seeking a new way to earn an income from home and perhaps needing a place to stay along with that income, providing a vacation service may be the way to go.

There are many homeowners who like to travel for extended periods of time. Property owners will gladly pay someone to live in their house and take care of their landscaping, animals and home upkeep. You could provide your service to these homeowners for “peace of mind” knowing that there is someone there to take care of their house while they are away.

For your services, you could live there rent free plus a fee for the particular daily chores you will be doing. Make sure you give them an itemized list of all the jobs you will do for them. That list you provide will help them to understand that your home jobs are invaluable to them and they will pay you accordingly. Easily create signs and place them on bulletin boards, churches and word of mouth helps as well. Providing a vacation service to the community may help others and will also give you the tools and inspiration to enjoy what you are doing and earning an income from home as well.

Do Not Give Up on Your Goals and Dreams

December 7th, 2008

Have you ever gone through life, trying to achieve your goals and dreams and someone tells you, “You can’t achieve your dreams”, or someone literally tries to hold you back from achieving your goals. It’s sad to say, but they are people like that. What’s even sadder is when love ones and close family members and friends don’t believe you can achieve your goals and dreams. Some might consider people like that as “haters” or even “oppressors”.

One thing that I have learned deeply is that you can’t let people influence your future. There are going to be times when people may put down your goals and dreams. Never let a negative person’s attitude detour you from achieving your goals and dreams. Goals and dreams are what make life worth living. Hold on to your dreams and goals, as if it was air. Never let go of your goals and dreams because of other people and what they may say about your goals and dreams. You are always going to have to face some form of challenges in life. Conquer your challenges and move on.

Don’t let people stunt your growth as a human being. Achieve all that you can, and be courageous. Know what you want and go get it. When some one tells you, you can’t achieve a certain goal, tell them “Yes I can”, and prove them wrong. This is your future not theirs. If you have any goals and dreams, donate your car like to know them. Feel free to let me know what they are, and don’t worry, I won’t put you down. Take care!

David is helping people achieve their goals and dreams, whether financially, spiritually, health wise, or in relationships. To learn more about David, visit http://www.myspace.com/djsuccess23

How to Give a Talk to Market Your Business

December 6th, 2008

One of the best ways to extend your services is to secure coaching contracts after a speech. When you speak, the audience only gets you for an hour. If they really want to learn what you shared with them, coaching is the benefit you provide. Use your speech to inspire them to learn more. Then let them know you can coach them, as individuals and groups, to actually “be” more.

When you have an opportunity to speak to a group for free or for a fee, they are not buying your speech . . . they are buying your solution that will fix their problem. Be coach-like in your presentation and demonstrate what it would be like to work with you as their coach.

You aren’t talking about coaching. You are there to demonstrate coaching. Think of yourself as an expert who is addressing the audience’s challenge and is providing “how to’s” to solve their problem. Here is what some of my clients speak on: direct mail marketing, security issues in the workplace, how to lobby the government for your special interest, ethics in the workplace, follow your dreams, financial planning, a doctor and lawyer who want to speak about what is wrong with our healthcare system and how we can change that.

Begin each talk by asking yourself 3 questions.

1. What action do I want my audience to take after my speech?
2. What do they need to know to do this (content)?
3. What do they need to feel to do this (emotions)?

Remember, you will get hired as a coach for the power of your content, and get paid (or referrals) for your delivery!

To persuade an audience, we must get in car insurance prices with their feelings, and reveal that our own feelings are in harmony with theirs. When we can do that emotionally, and truthfully, we will have won their trust . . . and will get repeat business, referrals to new clients, and requests for coaching.

Remember to use stories about your clients so you can subtly remind your audience that you are a coach, and your clients are achieving what the audience would like to achieve.

In addition to platform speaking, you can also be a guest teleclass speaker, conduct your own teleclasses, provide a radio interview, start your own virtual university ( I did in 1998 - Speakers University - which I still operate today)

Here are some of the hot topics:
1.Knowledge Management
2.Filling Multiple Roles in the workplace
3.Creating Change skill sets
4.Ethics in the workplace
5.Time/task management
6.Stress Management
7.Increasing worker/employee productivity
8.Blending people and organizations
9.Teamwork
10.Creativity
11.Leading, managing and surviving change
12.Diversity
13.Strategic Planning
14.Humor (as a stress handling technique)
15.Negotiations techniques
16.Handling difficult people
17.Conflict resolution
18.Communication Skills
19.Motivation
20.How to achieve Balance in your life
21.Health and Wellness (to do’s)
22.Programs specific to women’s issues and family issues.

Sandra Schrift, 20 year speaker coach, will structured settlement protection act you how to give a compelling speech. She will help you to prepare a speech that hits your audience’s hot buttons.
